Heuristic: First Draft
1. What is my research topic?
My research topic is Computer Science.
2. What is my exigence?
The reason I am conducting this research is because I wish to pursue a career
in the field of computer science. I want to know what I need to be able to succeed in
the field of computer science and what I can do to be hired by the biggest tech
companies in the US.
3. What is my dissonance?
I know that the discipline I am pursuing is heavily based on mathematics and
physics. I have heard that it is a lot of work and that long nights are ahead of me. I
dont know if I will be able to handle the workload that comes with the discipline. A
lot of people do say that the hardest part of engineering is getting through school.
4. What is my object of study?
My object of study is to learn what it will take for me to succeed in the field of
computer science.
5. What is my statement of purpose?
I want to learn about the community and the work done by the community in
computer science.
6. What is my primary research question?
How can I become a successful member of the community in my chosen
discipline?
