Vision Statement

Storytelling has grown so much from just vocal interaction, especially with
todays technologies. Storytelling is about relaying a message, but also attempting to
create an experience for the listener that makes the story feel alive. Through different
forms of media we can create an impacting story that comes alive and influences those
receiving it. Throughout this website, several types of media is displayed as having an
impact on telling the story of American reaction during the Vietnam War. Print,
photography, podcasts, and videos all represent different aspects of storytelling and leave
different impacts on the listener.
In general, storytelling is important because it is the main way to relay messages.
Although there are many different forms of storytelling now, in its true essence, it is a
tool used to bring awareness, call people to action, and share ideas.
