Formal Essay #2 Reflection

My second formal essay of the year took a small step forward when comparing it to me
first essay. I still had mistakes scattered throughout my paper that could have been avoided, but a
majority of the mistakes Ms.Smit pointed out and the ones I noticed were dealing with lack of
clarity. I have yet to read through my previous work this year and find myself being too wordy,
which of course is good and bad. I would not change the format or the topic of my paper at all. I
would stick with looking at the novel through a historical lens, I think that worked pretty well in
my paper and I found effective ways to argue for that lens. I see holes here and there in my paper
where I could have expanded a sentence or two more on what I was trying to get across. I tried
not summarizing too much in this essay as well.
