I do agree with you that the five-paragraph essay can be helpful, but I also believe that it

could hurt your writing in the future. Although the foundation of this could help you to
get started, it is very difficult to try to get away from this style of writing. Just as you
said, when you start to try and be creative with your writing, this style starts to get in the
way of that because it is something that you are so used to. It has been drilled into our
heads so long that it is hard to get away from this.
