John Brown was an abolitionist who was going to give weapons to slaves so
they could revolt.

LINCOLNS ELECTION

Abraham Lincoln was an abolitionist and the southern plantation owners


feared he would abolish slavery as president.

THE SECESSION OF THE SOUTHERN


STATES

The southern states seceded from America shortly after Lincoln became
President.
