For John Bridges: Exclusive on making dreams possible for children with
life-threatening illnesses
Mr. Bridges:
Imagine receiving news that your child would be fighting for their life at the age of 3. For
some Louisiana families, this fear becomes a reality as their children battle lifethreatening illnesses, while trying to maintain a positive atmosphere at home. Dreams
Come True of Louisiana assists these families in giving their children a reason to smile
despite difficult times.
I believe what Dreams Come True does to bring a smile to the faces of critically ill
children would be ideal for KPLC 7News Sunrise. Since 1982, we have delivered more
than 700 dreams to Louisiana children. Each year we find these numbers rising and
requiring more funding to make these smiles possible. I am writing to you because of
your passion in hosting nonprofit organizations such as ours. We host our 2nd annual
Dreams Come True Golf Shootout on Monday, Nov. 2, 2014, with all proceeds funding
dreams for children with life-threatening illnesses.
We would like to offer Dreams Come True Executive Director, Becky Prejean,
exclusively to KPLC 7News Sunrise, to talk about this worthwhile event. We realize this
is short notice, but we believe it is such a worthwhile cause. Becky has over 20 years of
planning events to make these dreams possible and would like to share how Dreams
Come True has impacted your Lake Charles community.
