Unit of Inquiry
Central idea:People and animals share the planet.
Some teacher questions:

What is a wild animal?


What is a pet?
What is a farm animal?
Where do they live?
How do we live alongside animals?

Some things we will all think about:


The difference between pets, farm animals
and wild animals
Habitats of pets, farm animals and wild
animals

How animals and people can live together


and our responsibilities.

Uses everyday terms related to their experiences and some subject specific words

Maths:
We will begin to use common language to describe position and direction.
We will compare the size, length and height of animals and nature.
We will look closely at the patterns found in nature.
We will continue to explore numbers and counting and understand the last object counted in a set describes
the quantity.
We will begin to use the language of maths to compare quantities; more, less, first, second.
