Choose a character who we have covered this semester (E.G George Washington, Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham
Lincoln, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, etc).You can choose anyone between chapters 1-10. You will be required to do
online research on your character and you will create a one paragraph (7-10 sentences) mini biography regarding
your character. In addition you will have to draw a picture that represents your character.

Both the biography and the picture must be posted on a piece construction paper(minimum of 8x11)

Information required on the mini-biography

Place of birth and birthday

At least 4 major events or accomplishments related to American history

Occupation and significance of your character in American History

And why you chose to write about him/her

Spelling and grammar will be checked

In addition students must utilize at least 2 online sources. Sources must be cited at the bottom of the paragraph in
MLA format.

Sources that could be used are:

Biography.com, history.com, whitehouse.gov, pbs.org

Never use Wikipedia!!!!

Use legitimate websites. If unsure of the source you are utilizing, feel free to email me and ask me.

Posters will be due on Monday December 1st (the day we come back)

Extra Credit

You will have the option turn in a Current Event for extra credit.

It will be due on Monday December 1st. If not turned in the beginning of class,
I will not accept it late.
