Saha 1 Vietor Saha Professor Raymond UWRT 1103 — 03 3 November 2014 Expanding the Subject of the Semester Long Project We originally began our project with the subject of immigration to America, We were going to research the changes from the 1700s to present day, where we look at similarities, differences, interesting facts, periods of huge immigration, etc. We have gotten information through our family tree project, families, videos, books, and websites, However, after the in class E ‘ A ‘ session of presenting our base topic tothe class and the class ting questions on our topic, we have expanded our topic. / ‘When people wrote their questions down, my ve and I starred the questions that would go well with our project in order to expand ou topic. Although many questions were very helpful, [liked a few more than others, like tnderfnion by 2020, the percent of illegal immigrants, the reason American bom citizens aie immigrants, and the location of the ‘majority of immigrants. I decided to research all of the questions, and learned quite a few interesting things. Ileamed through researching these extended topics that the majority of American Citizens are of German descent and live mainly in more northern states than southern. I have also earned that the majority of most illegal immigrants live in more southern states near the Mexico and United States border. I never found a true answer to the estimated immigration in 2020, but I Saha 2 did learn that Americans dislike immigrates because of the fact that they take their jobs and homes.
