Teaming
(takes a lot of planning)
Definition
Is when one teacher delivers the
content while the other teacher
observes a student and collects
data on specific details.
Is when both educators are
actively providing instruction.
Teachers divide content and
develop lessons according to
their section/ The class is divided
into groups and teachers deliver
content in their own style, and
then switch groups.
Is when teachers divide the class
into heterogeneous groups and
deliver the same content to
students. In this model students
do not switch between teachers.
This is when a small group of
students are selected and
provided with additional or
alternative instruction. This is
generally done in a pull out
matter but students also rejoin
the class for additional
instruction.
This is when two teachers are
responsible for the same
content. They teach at the same
time and take turn delivering
content.
Effect
Allows for teachers to deepen
their understanding of the
students and teaching styles.
Allows for students to have more
time for small group instruction,
so that they are able to get more
help from teachers. Students are
also provided content in multiple
means of representation.
