Daybook Entry 2:

TOPIC: Free Write About My Genre Analysis

I have decided on a communication to analyze and it will be a movie. This will
be an action or action/thriller movie. A convention of these movie genres are scenes
containing a lot of suspense, which would involve scenes filled with fighting or
racing or even shooting. I have narrowed it down to several movies; Shooters and
The Dark Knight Rises. Both these movies show fighting scenes, car chases, and a
hero or consistent protagonist. The movies convey a sense of power and control in
the viewer.
Conventions I want to elaborate on:
- Death
- Life
- Violence
- Fast pace/speed
- Different camera angles
- Sound/special effects
Why did I choose this entry as a creative thinker?
I chose this as a creative thinking entry because it shows my thought process
on my genre analysis. It displays how I came up with new ideas and brainstormed
about my topic. In the writing I list ideas to use throughout my paper. I think this is
an excellent example of creative thinking.
