Teaching Experience:

Student teaching for a semester of my junior year in college (within the potsdam area). Worked
with (age group) of kids. I adapted to the school environment quickly. I used this experience to
develop my ability to collaborate with others as I was working with a team. One of the most
important tasks was keeping the kids motivated and working efficiently with the time allotted.
My biggest impact on the program was helping the students immensely by working on basic
musical skills as well as providing them with more specific help with things that pertain to them
individually. This was done through well thought out lesson plans that focused on the needs of
the students and the goals that I wanted to accomplish. By working with both large groups and
smaller groups I demonstrated the ability to facilitate productive learning in both areas.

I students taught for a semester my senior year in (area, probably around Potsdam). Through this
teaching experience I worked on my individual ability to teach alone. This time I worked with
(other age group). Having the experience of working with these different age groups has proved
that I can focus on the appropriate learning styles and material that needs to be covered.
