Do not separate the coupling (Figure 1, 1) below the Steering Angle Sensor (N49) or damage tothe sensor otor may occur. A damaged sensor due to improper jacket tube removalinstallation may trigger th following reoccurring fault codes: C1172 (Steering Angle Sensor Internal Fault) or C1174 and C1178 (Steering Angle Sensor Not Initialized). Irth Steering Angle Sensor is found defective, do not transfer the Steering ‘Angle Sensor from the new jacket tube to the previously installed jacket tube iy.
