The city of Syracuse has its hands full renovating office buildings and improving our roads before the seasons change. One can't help but
be inspired by the variety of architecture. Check out these books on design at the Onondaga County public libraries.
"The Architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright: A Complete Catalog," by William Storrer. This book contains a fantastic gallery of Wright's
designs and lists all of his buildings' locations throughout the world.
"1000 Tips by 100 Eco Architects," by Marta Serrats. It has pictures of fascinating homes and buildings along with plenty of ideas and
descriptions for some eco-friendly building.
"The Architecture of the Shakers," by Julie Nicoletta. Covers the complex history of the Shakers with detailed descriptions and vivid
pictures of this classic style.
"The Story of Architecture," by Jonathan Glancy. This starts at the beginning of civilization and explores the different building designs
people have used to live, worship and work within.
"Architecture: The World's Greatest Buildings Explored and Explained," by Neil Stevenson. An in-depth exploration of some famous
buildings.
"1000 Architectural Details: A Selection of the World's Most Interesting Building Elements," by Alex Vidiella, Julio Farado and Sergi
Duran. An in-depth catalog of photographs, sketches and floor plans divided into 15 chapters.
