Why Were the fluidic components made and placed like they were?

If our machine is to transport the barrel from the starting location to the farthest end location for
the most points possible so an extension device is desirable. A stable design would be possible by
drilling a hole into one side of of the wall of the tubing so that one large syringe can be
connected to two small syringes so that (when attached) it will push the clamp forward when the
large syringe plunger is depressed.
