How does your performance on this assignment demonstrate achievement of, or progress
toward the SLCC College-wide learning Objectives?
I don't hold back on assignments. I say all I think I need to say even if at times it may seem like
I'm saying "too much." You can see my progress through all my coursework. I try to meet the
requirements and get the best scores possible on my assignments.
2. How does this assignment connect with what you learned in other General Education
courses?
The assignments I chose to post are things that many other classes discuss. Rape and love, two
things that everyone has different opinions on.
3. What impact did the assignment have on you and your understanding of the world; did
it challenge any of your assumptions?
It challenged me to talk about the hard things. Rape is such a horrible thing and I chose to voice
my opinion on the matter, and talk about something that is a "touchy" subject. Love is a little
lighter and something many people can relate to. I explain how I view love and what love means
to me.
4. What process did you go through to complete the assignment?
I had to break down some walls within myself and really let out my feelings, that's always a good
thing to do in your work, I think when showing passion in your work the reader can really feel
the passion and emotions.
5. What do your signature assignments demonstrate about your learning?
I think they show my growth, I have grown as a writer and I only plan on improving my work
more.
6. How do the assignments illustrate the growth/change/progression you have had in this
class?
If you compare my first couple essays to these ones I show more passion and as I've learned
more in the class you can see my growth. I try to use more facts and back them up, I don't hold
back on my work and try to get all my feelings out about the matter.
