November 25, 2014 To Whom It May Concern: 1am writing to recommend Amanda Staso as a candidate for employment with your school district. Amanda has been a student teacher in my classroom for seven weeks during the first semester of the 2014-2015 school year. As a teacher for more than 15 years, I feel that Amanda will be an outgoing, determined, productive member of your staff. During this time, Miss Staso has taught the students of my class all of the main subjects within the second grade curriculum with enthusiasm and knowledge. Amanda has developed her classroom management by using many different positive behavior techniques. She has shown knowledge of the content she taught as well as demonstrating great organizational skills. Amanda is very resourceful. She is able to find an interesting way to teach any topic. She is also interested in getting to know each student's interests. Having spent the first half of her student teaching time in an autistic support classroom, her transition was very smooth, She was able to take the individual needs of each student to help develop her lessons to ensure that each student deepened their knowledge. Amanda was able to find a children’s book for any lesson to help the students make connections to their own lives. She goes above and beyond in her planning to ensure the students are engaged.
