Putting off the carnal mind – being renewed in the spirit of your mind

Need to be on guard against the carnal mind. It will blind us from the things of
Elohiym.

1 Corinthians 2:14 “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are
spiritually discerned.”
The natural man—the carnal man—the man in the flesh

Isaiah 55:8,9 “For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my
ways, saith the LORD. For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my
ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
My thoughts higher than your thoughts. Need to put away our thoughts and take on
El’s thoughts. How do we put away our thoughts? By the renewing of our mind:

Ephesians 4:23 “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;”

Titus 3:5 “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his
mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy
Ghost;”
By the Holy Spirit; through His Word.

Greater part of putting off the old man is putting off the carnal mind. To put off
something, we must put on something else: a new mind (the mind of ha Mashiyach)

Romans 8:6-8 “6 For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded
[is] life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not
subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh
cannot please God.”
vs 7 No peace to the wicked. Carnal mind not subject to Elohiym.
vs 8 So if we walked and thought and set our mind on the flesh, we would not pleace
Elohiym.

2 Corinthians 10:4-6 ”(For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty
through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and
every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into
captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to
revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.”
Through Elohiym’s Spirit we must cast down the carnal mind.
