Motion about Microchip implant

All people should be able to live a good life. We want to give people the best conditions
for a good health. Therefore, we want implanting microchips in everyone who lives in
Sweden. The chip is implanted under the skin and can quickly give us information about the
person's health. The information in the chip can be easily read with the aid of a computer. It
will be much easier than today to detect diseases such as cancer, using microchip. This means
that people who are sick more quickly will be able to get medical care.
Our proposal is especially good for the individual. But it's also good for the whole
community. Today we wrestle with the long queues and high costs for health care. Faster
diagnosis saves money for society and make the lines shorter. That means more money for
other important areas, such as the school and the environment.
Society will only use the information in microchips to make people healthier, thus in
health care. Businesses and organizations may not use the information in the microchip. Nor
should it be possible to monitor people through the chips. Society should not use microchips
to control people without giving them a healthier life.

The Government proposes that:

microchip surgically inserted in all people.
microchips may only be used in health care.
A new agency, Microchip Authority shall ensure that the information is only used in
health care and not to control people's lives.
