STEP 1 Choose a subject

Remember we will be using Into the Wild for the rest of the semester. First, choose a topic to
investigate. Youre looking for something controversial or misrepresentative in finding our way in the
world (bucketlists, adventure, finding ourself, pilgrimage, rites of passage, danger, etc).

Bucklists

How do people look at those who are reckless

o Most people look down upon those who are reckless because those who are reckless
are senselessly putting their life in harms away.
Why do people want to do these things
o People want/create a bucklist for different reasons but the most common reasons are,
that they have realized that there are still things they want to do be for they die, or they
are board with their life and they are looking for fun and excitement
Why are bucketlists important
o Bucklist are important because they give people a goal to work toward. For example in
the novel we are reading, living in Alaska is on Alexs bucklist so the whole story he is
working toward his goal of getting to Alaska
Why do humans want adventure and to discover
o It is something that humans are born with, a hunger for adventure; and those who dont
not adventure out into the world are stuck and live unhappy lives
What do we gain by discovery and adventure
o We gain Knowledge, experiences, memories from discovery and adventure
