Performing Arts News

Congratulations to the choir who did a superb job performing in the Liturgical
Choral section of the festival. The choir travelled to St Benedicts Church in
Applecross last week and sang two Michael Mangan hymns We Rejoice and Called
to Serve. The report from the adjudicator was very positive awarding the choir
several Outstanding grades with the remainder of the elements being marked as
Very Good. Many comments from other schools have also been very
complimentary. You have represented Star of the Sea Primary beautifully and it
must be said your behavior during the other performances and speeches was
exemplary. Bravo and keep up the wonderful work.
Thank you to Mrs. Boyle, Mrs. Sentorini and Mrs. di Russo for supporting us in our
performance. Without such support we would not be able to participate in the
festival and have such wonderful opportunities to experience. A big thank you also
to those parents who met us up at St Benedicts Church. Your support and
encouragement means a lot to all members.
More great news was received in the form of another Certificate of Merit, which has
been awarded to Chantelle Searston in 6B for her solo Tim Whistle performance in
the festival the other week. Congratulations Chantelle on your achievement.
