Dear Judges,
I hope you are doing well. My name is Chris Morrison, I am a senior at St. James High School. I
am writing to you regarding the negative effects ocean pollution has on marine life. I have
aspired to be a marine biologist since I was a young boy.
Ocean pollution is causing massive damage to the environment. I chose this topic to learn more
about how pollution is affecting marine life. I have learned more about it just by reading some
articles while researching for information for my paper. I am motivated to learn more about
ocean pollution because I know it harms the environment, but I dont know much about it so I
want to learn more, I hope to have a positive impact on improving the quality of marine life.
The Senior Exploration process for me is a bit stressful. Mrs. DeBock is very helpful because I
have not written a term paper. This is the first class I have had to write a serious paper in. I am
also struggling with what to say in my paper but I will overcome that with more research and
dedicate time to my paper. Having the Senior Exploration project has not had much of an effect
on my senior year yet, but I think that once we present, it will help me in the real world with
public speaking.
