Salem State Universitys New Residence Hall Opening This Fall

Viking Hall becomes third dorm on universitys Central Campus
SALEM, Mass., August 1, 2015 Salem State Universitys $30 million residence hall
will be opening at the end of August for the 2015-2016 school year. The building
will house sophomore and junior students in semi-suite style living.
President Patricia Maguire Meservey said, We are delighted to welcome our
students into Viking Hall. This new residence hall will represent our school pride
and progress as we begin a new school year.
The university also opened the Frederick E. Berry Library and Learning
Commons on its North Campus, and has renovated the health and wellness center
with the Gassett Fitness Center addition during the 2013-2014 school year.
Salem State University is a thriving liberal arts public institution based on the
North Shore of Boston with a focus on creating students who positively contribute
to the professional world as well as the local community.
