Dear Young Writer,

You wouldnt believe how amazing it is to journey through Imagination! People here dont think inside the box at all. Yet even as Im
fast at work trying to explore all the creative inspiration spots, I can
still see how you struggle to get your ideas on the paper, and I want
you know a few secrets that Ive learned about writing. The first is
that writing starts before you put anything on your paper. Your
mind is your biggest writing resource! And thinking about how you
think when you want to write will help you organize those budding
plots and plans. Thinking about that thinking doesnt stop once you
do have your ideas written down, either. Keeping your brain in that
metacognitive state (thats a word for thinking about thinking that
people use here in Imagination) helps you be more flexible with your
writing and opens you up to being inspired and revisiting that idea
stage. Lastly, always remember that writing does not have to be a
solo task! Collaborating with other young writers, especially in
while you are brainstorming, can help you expand your ideas further than you might have on your own. And when you use and think
in sensory language (your feeling/sensing words) , that opens you
and your fellow collaborating writers to thinking about your writing mind. I know once you can accomplish these things, youll be
more than ready to explore Imagination with me.

Your Friend,
Ms. Morales
