Growin Bag

For Zones 5-7:


1. Move the Growin Bag to a cold
garage with a temperature between
32F-50F
2. Water the Growin Bag lightly every
four to five weeks to keep soil damp
3. Move the Growin Bag outdoors in
early spring
For Zones 8-9:
1. Place the Growin Bag outdoors in
a protected spot where it will
receive natural rainfall

Why We Created the


Growin Bag
We created this product to make it easier for
you to grow strawberries. We sent this
brochure to help guide you through the
process of growing strawberries using the
Growin Bag.

What to Do When the


Strawberries Begin
to Grow

What You Will Need


To use the Growin Bag, you will need
these materials:
Growin Bag
Soil (Miracle-Gro, StaGreen, Parks Grow Mix)
Ice pick
Water soluble fertilizer
(Algoflash, Miracle-Gro)

How to Set Up Your


Growin Bag
To set up the Growin Bag, you need to:
1. Moisten potting soil
2. Fill the Growin Bag within 2
of the top
3. Press firmly to eliminate air
pockets
4. Lay the Growin Bag on a flat
surface
5. Fold the top over
6. Secure the Growin Bag with
tape to keep the soil from
spilling
7. Set strawberry plants through the
precut T-slits
8. Trim the roots 4 or 5
9. Water thoroughly
10. Store extra plants in the
refrigerator, cool garage, or plant
them in small 3 pots

After one to two weeks when the plants


begin to take root:
1. Hang the Growin Bag in a sunny
location
2. Unfold the top of the Growin Bag
3. Add more potting soil
4. Plant one or two of the extra plants
in the top of the Growin Bag
5. Water the Growin Bag every few
days as needed to keep the soil damp
6. Use an ice pick to punch extra holes
in the bottom and the middle of the
Growin Bag to provide better
drainage
7. Use a water soluble fertilizer
according to the label directions
8. Remove all but two or three runners
per plant
