Dear Mr. Nye,

In the interest of pursuing a career in the golf industry please take into consideration
myself, Michael Pope, as an applicant for an internship at your facility. I am a junior in
the PGA Professional Golf Management program at Methodist University and I am very
interested in applying to do my Level 4 internship with you in the year of 2015. I have
met with Mr. Koonce, who is our internship director, and he has shared with me some of
the challenges and successes I will experience with an internship at The Stock Farm
Club.
You will find that because of my work ethic, I am motivated to do the best I can do in all
situations. I enjoy meeting and working with people and because of my customer
service skills, I am confident that I would be a valuable asset to your professional staff.
The past summer I was employed by Indian Hill Club as a summer intern with the same
responsibilities as an assistant golf professional. Some duties I was responsible for
many things one being merchandising where I helped the entire process from ordering
to receiving to pricing and selling. I also worked alongside the golf professionals
teaching junior golf camps where I learned about teaching and managing groups
without feeling overwhelmed.
My resume is attached for your consideration and I look forward to speaking with you
concerning my interest and availability for an internship for the next year.
Please feel free to contact me at (919)475-9555
Sincerely,

Michael Pope
