What is a Typical Day in your

Classroom?

Students enter at 7:55 and get morning (Singapore Math) math finished
and any morning duties such as homework and spelling out to be
checked. After going over the math we do calendar and then our math
group rotations. At this time I will use the promethean board for an
interactive lesson. Then we have specials and come back for reading
while and small groups and remediation/enrichment. Then is lunch and
recess. The last hour if school consists of science or social studies with an
integration of writing. Then dismissal.

What technology do you use in your

classroom?

I have an Elmo and promethean board.

What are some challenges you face

with Technology in your classroom?

some difficulties with using technology in the classroom? The lack of

updated and working laptops for student use. Many of the laptops are
missing keys, don't connect to the internet or are so outdated they can't
run the great programs we are provided.

What is an example of a lesson you do

using technology?

students will make graphs on paper and then we will work together using
graphing software or a spreadsheet program to create a graph.

What are some positive experiences

with technology?

Having Technology in the classroom has engaged many types of students

regardless of learning style, language barriers and academic needs. I am
able to engage all of my students through the use of interactive digital
games. This is a way for students to explore math, reading, social studies,
and science concepts. I find that behavior issues tend to decline when I
begin to integrate technology into the curriculum.
