The reading from the RWS book discusses how to revise any work and to check
for any grammar. When I as in high school I realized that my way of checking my essays
would be very different to how I check them in college. During my high school years I
would turn in my essays thinking it was fine to turn in an assignment without checking
for any misspelled words or any other grammar mistakes. Revision, grammar, and style
are three things that I learned in college. I learned them in high school but I didnt
understand the important meaning of each one of them. College has made me a better
student because now I know how to write good papers. I always visit the writing center
because they help me with any essay problems or with creating ideas for my research
paper. When I decided to have the RWS 1301 class I didnt realize that it was going to be
a big challenge for me. First, because I had to write a research paper and I wasnt good
at writing in English. The English words that I would use for my research paper were
basic words and I would think beyond for my assignments. This whole semester has
really taught me how to revise my work and my grammar. Also, the reading discusses
the citation format for the APA format.
