On December 1, 2013, at around 22:30, one male was caught selling ADHD medication to
another male. The buyer managed to escape and flee the scene thus avoiding arrest.
The dealer possessed around $200 worth of various ADHD medications. Over several
nights of observing CCTV footage of what seemed to be the same person, Officer
Johnson and Officer Murphy were posted around the area where the transactions took
place and were given confirmation by Officer Smith, who was in charge of monitoring
the CCTV, to engage the target(s). The suspect made an attempt to run away but was
apprehended promptly. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department was contacted at 22:48.
Officer Perez arrived at the scene at 22:53 and detained the suspect. After
questioning, CMPD learned that the boys name is Bob Builder, 20 year-old male,
student at UNC Charlotte.
I was answering the high demand for ADHD medication around campus because finals
are nearby. I was just trying to hook some homies up said Bob Builder in the
questioning room. Do you know that being in possession of these drugs without a
prescription from a doctor is extremely illegal and you can go to jail, encounter a
large fine, and get expelled from college? explained Officer Perez. Bob Builder
will be tried for Resisting Arrest, Possession of Illegal Substances, and Intention
of Selling. Builder may be jailed, fined, and/or expelled from the university.
