I might decide to change topics to the war itself rather than Simo Hayha. I still need to research more to decide which Im more interested in, as both have an abundance of information. The war was only 105 days long in 1939 and a small Finnish army held off five times as many Russian troops. So I would like to write about the various tactics the Finnish used to hold off the Russians who had a much larger army, including about 2,500-6,500 tanks compared to Finlands 32 tanks. The Red Army also had an air advantage, having about four times as many planes as Finland. I think this is a great feat, and would also include Simo Hayha in part of the essay, along with any other Finnish soldiers who managed to help hold Finland against the overpowering Red Army. So far my topic has broadened as I look to research more about the Winter War, and was able to find a good amount of information about it.
