Final Reflection
In High School there was never a push to read the writing of other students. I only knew
how to write from what we are forced to read as according to syllabus but there was a definite
lack in connecting students on another level. Rarely would there be a peer review process
where the insight of others would be so helpful and accepted. All the peer review in high school
was done to correct grammatical mistakes, no more or less. I have learned through this course
that connecting the opinions and questions of others into my own work can be incredibly
insightful and will always improve my paper. How else would I know if my point is being
demonstrated in a way that others can understand? I would often hear from others that my
thought process needs to be elaborated in a more general way so that every reader could
understand my arguments clearly. Through examination of other students work I have also
learned a lot about myself because the way others write is normally much different from my
own. This gives me some perspective as to how I can make my writing voice more fluent and
concise, I know how others will be able to piece my thoughts together just as I do to theirs. I
believe through this course I acquired these strengths and it has enriched my voice as a writer.
Hopefully my improved writing will provides works that can be influential to others so the
process can repeat itself.

Like how I felt mid-semester as I wrote my Mid-Term Reflection, my confidence as a

writer has increased significantly. The words flow into my fingertips without hesitation and the
way to embrace this boldness is to reimburse my assurances with stern review. I always wrote
with the notion that I would be writing the final piece at the first go but that couldnt be less
true. There is always the availability to go back and edit any mistakes or reinterpret
misrepresented ideas.
