Mind Maps!!

I tried to explore a few different ideas for my written and online mind map. The online map was
slightly more difficult to format because I was unfamiliar with the program (I used MindJet).
However, I based the main idea of my mind map on a topic I would like to consider in my inquiry
project. During the class period we went around asking questions, I asked everyone What is the
American Dream? In this MindMap, I incorporated everyones answers into one map and
showed how many directions and aspects make up how we as Americans Identify with the
American Dream. The MindMap that I created by hand represents my own dream of becoming a
Veterinarian, and shows all of the options that are open to me right now. I could go down any of
those paths in the veterinary field, and I still have no idea where Id like to go. I think that mind
mapping can go in so many directions, from outlining essays to organizing your thoughts to
creating a literal map of where you want to go with basically anything in life. Although Ive

never used this formally before, I like the idea and think that it could be helpful to me in the
future, especially in showing where my inquiry project leads me.
