Family Math Night at Wengert Elementary

A service that I had done with our school was to volunteer to have a booth for our
familys math night. When volunteering, my Cooperating teacher and I had to have a booth
dedicated for parents and students to be able to play math games with their children. Parents
were provided with math materials they were able to take home for their children; worksheets,
playing cards, board games, etc. Our math night committee were not expecting a not so good
outcome due to our parents involvement in the past, however, this years math night was a
success! We had many families that took time out of their busy schedules to attend with their
children. Our students were eager to play games that other teacher volunteers had created for the
night.
