Dear Families,

The start of a new school year can be a crazy, yet exciting time for
all of us. Soon enough, you will blink your eyes and we will be
halfway through the school year! Before it is too late, I would like
to introduce myself. My name is Miss Nicole Malara and I will be
student teaching in your son/daughters classroom. This is just one
more step I have to partake before I receive my Bachelors Degree
with my dual major in Elementary Ed PreK-4 & Spec Ed PreK-8 from
Seton Hill University. I am simply thrilled, to say the least, to be able
to embark on my teaching career at West Point Elementary. I will be
in the classroom working with Mrs. Irons from the beginning of the
school year until October 10th. I am looking forward to getting to
know your child and possibly you as well in the next couple months.
As for me, I am originally from Mount Pleasant, so I am very familiar
with the Greensburg area as well as Hempfield Area School
District. I am on Seton Hill Universitys Track and Field team so in
my free time you will catch me training for the heptathlon. Before I
found my love for track, I had a love for teaching and it is still with
me to this day. I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can
remember and I am so passionate about what my future holds. I
want to be the one to put a smile on your childs face when they
learn something new. I am so excited to be working with this class
because I can tell they are an amazing group of students with so
much potential. I know this will be a full time of learning, not only
for the students, but for me as well.
If you have any questions you can direct them to Mrs. Irons. Thank
you for this opportunity!
Sincerely,
Nicole Malara
