My name is Timothy Folkers and I am interested in a career at NSSL. I would like to be a part of
the research team with severe storms. My background has provided me with a foundation to
become a strong, independent employee.
In my 12 years of martial arts, I have taken leadership roles and learned to open myself up. In
addition, I have handled situations in which I needed to instruct class for my masters absence. In
my four years with the high school marching band, I have shown commitment and dedication in
giving the best I can give. Throughout my time with the Indonesian Performing Arts of Chicago,
I have been given opportunities to spread the Indonesian culture by being very active in the
community through various performances and fundraiser relief programs. As stated in my
resume, I feel qualified for the position because I demonstrate the qualities to become a strong
leader and able to communicate with other researchers.
I am ecstatic with exploring different research opportunities at NSSL. I look forward to hearing
