Student Pass
With effect from Feb 2013, All Student Pass
Application & Student Pass Renewal has to be
applied via EMGS STARS Portal --- STARS
(Student Application Registration System)
Renewal of Student Pass
With effect from 25th March 2013, all student
pass renewal will be processed by EMGS. Total
Cost of Student Pass Renewal is RM 1,000

Medical Screening
New Requirement by EMGS
Student need to do Medical Screening for each year of renewal at EMGS Panel Clinics.
ISP Unit will notify Student to do the Medical Screening as soon as their application for the
renewal has been submitted and accepted by EMGS.
The Health Examination Form and the EMGS Panel Clinics information can be downloaded
from EMGS website.

Renewal of Student Pass

Passport has to be submitted to ISP minimum 6 weeks before the expiry date of the Student
Pass.
EMGS is charging a penalty of RM 350 on top of the RM 1,000 for the Student Pass Renewal
Fee for submission which is less than 6 weeks before the expiry date of the Student Pass
Total Cost for the Student Pass Renewal for late submission is RM 1,350
The Approval of the application for student pass renewal by the Immigration Department of
Malaysia is subject to:
1.Validity of the passport (must be at least 12 months)
2.Attendance Record (must not be less than 85%)
3.Academic Performance (must be satisfactory)
4.Research Progress Report for Higher Degree Student(must be satisfactory)
5.Medical Screening Result at EMGS Panel Clinics.
