UNLTVSERSEETY Dear Business Owner: ‘The Kent State University Office of Global Education invites you to participate in the International Education Week international Cook-Off raffle on Thursday, November 20, 2024. Who are we? ‘The Office of Global Education is responsible for international admissions, advising international students and scholars, and overseeing all education abroad initiatives and international partnerships. There are about 2,700 international students at Kent State, representing over 100 countries, and about 110% of the Kent State University population What are we doing? We are currently organizing the annual international Cook-Off as the capstone event in International Education Week. The event is open to Kent State University students and the Kent community. Six teams will highlight a food and beverage from a chosen country and then showcased for a contest to find the best recipe. There will be a large crowd of participants and judges to choose the best dish. During the international cook off we will hold a raffle to give away prizes to those who participate in this event. Why should you come/help? By helping us promote International Education Week you will be promoting diversity within education, and also be helping your business succeed in the future by bringing in customers. Being involved in this event will be a great way to promote your business. Last year the International Cook-Off attracted over 700 people. You can contribute by providing donations that will be raffled off at our international Cook- Off. The donations can include anything promotional that will have value at the raffle and bring in customers to your business. We are specifically looking for items such as gift cards, coupons, or other prize items to give to our raffle winners.
