QC PROCESS

Quality Policy

Our Quality Policy is to meet or exceed the requirements of each


customer with superior products and the highest quality of service.

Our commitment:

To provide ongoing improvement in products and services using


TMI processes.

Comply with all regulatory requirements.

Maintain the effectiveness of our quality system.

Lead with excellence in technical mastery, professionalism, and


integrity.

In order to comply with the company Quality Policy, the TMI Parts
Department uses the form TMI-60, dated 7/14/09.

Each color has a different use, but has the same process to fill it out.

Light Blue-Any part that comes into the warehouse that has not
been tested and verified as a working, sellable part.

Light Tan-Attached to all parts that have been tested and are
being put into conforming, sellable inventory.

Green-Attached to any new parts that are purchased by the


Parts department, i.e. SRAM batteries, skin pacers, and motors.

These can be handwritten or filled out and printed from a


computer.

How to use
The top two sections are for the nomenclature of the part as well as the
part number. APN is for alternate part numbers.

The next two rows are for locating purposes.


LOC is the shelf and bin number.
Status will be EXC for exchanges or Used for all others.
There are multiple column to track where the part goes.

Source is where the part came from. If it is an exchange it will be


assigned a source number. If it came from a used system, the job
number will be the source number.
COS is condition of sale. This will specify whether the customer needs
to send us their old part as an exchange or if it is being sold outright,
and whether it is returnable or not. This will only be on the light tan
card, and will be filled by the person putting it into inventory.
Serial number is found on the part. This is how we know what card
goes to what part, if they get separated.
Very few parts do not have a serial number.
DOM stands for date of manufacture. This is not found on all parts
and might get left blank.

System is the main system that the part came from or goes to.
i.e. 9600, 9800, Pulsera, etc.
Subsystem is the part of the system the part came from or goes to.
This will usually be Workstation or C-Arm.

ID is the person who filled out the upper portion of the TMI-60 and the
date on which it was identified.
F-TEST is a functional test. This is the person who tested the part and
whether it passed or failed and on what date it was tested.
INSPECT will be the person who inspects the part before the part is
shipped and on which day it was shipped.
The Test By column can be the name OR initials of the person who
did each step.

The person who tests the part will make comments about what tests ,
adjustments and repairs were done, in this section with their initials and
the date each test, adjustment and repair was done.

This last section will be filled in on the computer by the software.


MSRP is the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price. O is the customer
buying it outright, and EXC is if the customer sends their old part as
exchange.
TMI$ is the recommended price for Trans American Medical
Imaging. Again, O is for the customer buying it outright, and Exc. is
for if the customer is going to send their old part for exchange.
