Marc Oberon’s 37
Working
The effect is made possible by carefully worded patter
which forces one of seven numbers, and seven ‘outs’
thout fail
which make the prediction correct w
You are supplied with a double-walled
envelope containing the seven possible
numbers written on slips of paper. These are 15
the numbers 13, 31; 15, 35; 19, 39 and 37.
You'll notice that the first six of these ,, hilulll
numbers can be paired, where the first 31: 33
number of each pair is a ‘teen’ and the
second a larger number corresponding to its,
pair. It is then easy to remember the order in
this way. These predictions are placed paired
into the double-walled envelope in a way
which makes it possible to remove the
correct one smoothly and without hesitation.
The middle pair has been cut
slightly longer than the others.
This means it's very easy to
grasp any pair of predictions
required. Then, by gripping
the pair with the forefinger
and thumb, you can pull up
with either the finger or the
thumb to remove the correct
slip of paper.
37, is placed alone in the other side of the
you're ready to perform. This side of the
uld be marked for easy identification later

Presentation
This patter is based on a very old force of a number
ich relied on the fact that most people name the
number 37. This presentation makes the entire thing
sure-fire,
Written on this piece of paper,
there's a two-digit number under
50.
1. First display the folded slip of
Paper (with 37 written inside) and
display the otherwise empty
envelope. Then replace the
prediction and leave the envelope
in view.
Both digits are odd numbers and they're both different
from each other. So it couldn't be 11; it could be 17.
What do you think it is?
2. This narrows the range down to just seven numbers.
‘The examples serve two purposes. Firstly, they eliminate
the number 17 as this is the number you used in the
example. Secondly, they clarify the previous statement.
3. To finish, it's now a simple matter of removing the
Correct out using the technique mentioned earlier
