Subject: Introduction of and Request for funding of our Pathways in Motion sidewalks
Dear President Huftalin,
Imagine SLCC being the premier college all students wished to attend simply because of the convenience of
sidewalks that move. Salt Lake Community College could become the college of the future right now just by
implementing a few minor changes. What we are proposing would save all students, faculty and staff time and
would increase mobility for even the physically challenged student. What we propose would be moving
sidewalks for all major pathways used between buildings on the main campus.
There would be many benefits for students, faculty and staff by adding this feature to the college campus:
Time saved between classes to travel from one end of the campus to the other would be reduced.
Those that are physically challenged would be able to get from class to class without being out of
breath.
It would reduce injuries to students, faculty and staff as they go to class as the seasons change from
summer to winter.

Sincerely,

Reverend Scott Wilkins
