II Lesson Focus :( 25 Minuets)


Dribble Knock-Out: Each student has a
basketball and is to dribble within the
explained boundaries. Object of the game is
to try to knock the ball away from other
players while also protecting your own
dribble. Once a players ball is knocked
away they are out. The game continues until
there is only one player left that is crowned
the winner

FACILITY LAYOUT:

Layup Challenge: Students are broken up


into 6 groups of 5 as each group is assigned
to a hoop in the gym. While performing
right-handed layups, the groups compete to
be the first team to successfully make 10
layups. The teams are to collectively count
their made layups out loud and take a seat
once they get to ten. First team to sit is the
winner.

OBJECTIVES:

Cognitive: Students will learn how to properly


dribble, protect the ball, and shoot layups through
responses to movement vocabulary and visual aids
Psychomotor: Students will demonstrate the
concepts involved in dribbling with basketballs as
well as proper technique of a layup through
challenges and game activities
Affective: Students will be respectful to one
another and will work together in a team setting
during game activities
