Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower;

But only so an hour.

Commented [NL3]: By saying Her personification is

identified.

Commented [NL5]: Here Her is also identified as

personification.

Commented [NL6]: Imagery: I see leafs falling off a single

branch one by one.
Commented [NL7]: Imagery: I imagine seeing a character
falling on their knees in great sadness and remorse.

So dawn goes down to day

Nothing gold can stay.

Commented [NL2]: Allusion: What is meant here is as the

season changes to fall, gold is the first color shown on a life.

Commented [NL4]: Her hardest hue to hold is also

alliteration.

Then leaf subsides to leaf,

So Eden sank to grief,

Commented [NL1]: Green is Gold is considered

alliteration.

Commented [NL10]: Allusion: What is mean here is that
the leaves wont always stay gold but will change within the
season of fall. Everything always changes.
