In Donald Murrays article, All Writing is Autobiographical he states

that; All my writing and yours- is autobiographical. While many may

disagree with this statement, I support it since Murray gives substantial
evidence. The author understands the term autobiography more as a
personal way rather than a persons experience translated into a story.
In other words, the way we write reflects our knowledge and
experiences. Even the style we use, illustrates the way we were taught to
express our words. We are autobiographical in the way we write; my
autobiography exists in the examples of writing I use in this piece and
in the text I weave around them. I have my own peculiar way of looking
at the world in my own way of using language to communicate what I
see [Murray Pg. 67 Para. 6]
According to Willa Cather, Most of the basic material a writer works
with is acquired before the age of fifteen [WAW Pg. 67 Para. 8] From a
personal standpoint, I most definitely agree. When constructing
informational papers, I tend to use similar vocabulary and a certain span
of stylistic writing, which I acquired most of in my earlier years. Even
though I am not writing about me, I am still writing and therefore, the
way I think and interpret the literature influences my piece. Another
example is this discussion. While some may disagree with all writing
being autobiographical, I agree, due to my thoughts and experiences
being synchronized with the authors. It is not specifically about me, but
the way I writing styles and or techniques I incorporated reflects my
persona. Undoubtedly, the way in which the author interpreted the
word autobiography shows that all writing in fact is autobiographical.
