Hadith: an incident narrating a saying, action, or tacit approval of the Prophet.

commemorating Abrahams willingness ness to sacrifice for God

The Quran contains very little details regarding law. Majority of it is


derived from the hadiths the transmitted reported from the Prophet [s].
This is due to the nature of the Prophets relationship with the Quran and
the Believers. The Quran states take from the Prophet what he gives you
and stay away from what he forbids you. Essentially, it is the Quran
giving the instruction, and the Prophet illustrating how to carry that out.
