(Chicago, IL) June 5, 2015 Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and The Second City
proudly announce their partnership in The Art Of Falling Tour, set to begin September 5,
2015. The tour is set to hit 10 cities, including Chicago, St. Louis, Nashville, Atlanta,
Charlotte, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Buffalo, New York City, and Boston.
Tickets range from $25 student rush to $125. Hubbard Street Dance Chicago plans to
also provide master classes to area universities during their residency.
The Art of Falling is a unique production created by the two renowned Chicago
companies Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and The Second City.
Hubbard Street and Second City teamed up with the largest creative team either
company has ever worked with to devise a world premiere exploring dance through
humor, artistry and improvisation. This highly anticipated, full-evening production debuts
with three distinct, interwoven storylines punctuated by short vignettes.
Hubbard Street Dance Chicago is among the most original forces in contemporary
dance. As one of the only professional dance companies to perform year-round,
Hubbard Street is continually touring nationwide and internationally. Now in its 37th
year, the main company has appeared in celebrated dance venues in 44 states and 19
