Tourist Visa

Please bring photocopies of both your passport (photo page and UK-permit page or card) along with all the below
documents.

1. You need a passport or official travel document accepted by all Schengen countries.
A passport should be valid for at least three months after departure from the
Schengen area and contain two blank visa pages.

We can only endorse visa in passports which have been issued during the past
10 years (not extended). If your passport is older than 10 years please apply for
a new passport.

2. Completed & Signed visa application form (two signatures & signatures same in passport)

4. Copy of applicants passport ( holder page, signature page & copied of all used Schengen
visas in last two years)
5. Copy of applicants original valid UK residence permit(should be valid for more than 3
months from the date of return from the Schengen region)
6. Original & Recent(less than a month old) employment letter on company letter head /
covering letter from company house or a letter from the accountant on letter head, if selfemployed.
OR
Original & Recent(less than a month old) letter from college or institution on a headed
paper, stating attendance, start & finish date of the studies.
7. Salary Slips (last 03 months) (if employed)
8. UK Bank Statements (last 03 months) the statements should contain the Name, Address &
the account number of the holder.
9. Confirmed Return Tickets
10. Confirmed hotel reservations
11. Valid travel insurance, policy minimum 30,000. Please click here to buy a travel insurance

12. Minors: copy of birth certificates, original travel consent letter signed by both parents/legal
guardians. Copied of passports /legal guardians.

Please note:

Applicants need to ensure they have enough money to cover the cost of the
accommodation, travel & spending money of 30.00 per day per person before applying for
a visa. Please note that cash, overdraft or credit card facilities are not accepted as proof of
sufficient funds.
If you are retired, please provide your pension letter in place of your employment letter.
An ordinary Nigerian passport that has been extended manually is no longer recognized by
the Benelux countries and will therefore not be accepted.
In addition to the original documents, please bring photocopies of all documents with you
when submitting your application. The Embassy will not provide copies.
The Visa Section has full authority to evaluate and request more documents than those
submitted by the applicant. The latter is hereby informed that submitting the abovementioned documents does not guarantee automatic issuance of a visa.
Upon entering the Schengen area travellers must be in possession of copies of all documents
submitted in support of their application.
Applicants who have valid visas in old passports need to carry all their passports along with
a copy of the Valid visa, Bio page & signature page & copy of the entire Schengen visa issued
in last two years. The old passports will be returned to you, while the copies will be
submitted.
Since 24 November 2005, children travelling on their parent's passport have their own visa.
Applicants should complete a separate visa application form and submit a recent passport
photograph for every child travelling.
