Pungent aromas of blossoming flowers.

Coaxing trickle of a slow-flowing stream invited


The mating calls of birds
The cascade of water down from the canopy

Touch:

Humid air permeated


Clinging like a cloud, hot and moist.
Gentle breezes coax their ways through the undergrowth.

Decomposing logs, and branches

Pitcher plant: nectar bribes, vibrant colours, slippery walls, bacteria eat away at drowned carcass
Poison ivy winding
Fire ants dragging upturned carcass of spider away
Spiders, mantises, assassin bugs, katydid in a struggle for food
The twirling vines constrict tree trunk in its thirst for sunlight.
Water contain millions of parasites.
Mosquito harbouring deadly diseases glide towards prey.
The glint of the irises of caimans stalking prey.
