Dear parents,

New educational standards, called the Common Core State Standards (CCSS), are
the standards that your childs teacher will be using in the classroom to teach their
students. The CCSS are a set of extremely forward based and straight forward
academic goals in English and Mathematics. The standards contain the skills that
all students should master by the end of each grade level in order to become
successful in high school and college.
