Dear Sirs ,
Purpose of this letter is to bring to your attention the following discharging
informations :
1. My vessel is equiped with 3 main cargo pumps , each having a capacity of
1500 cm /hour and 1 stripping pump of 300 cm / hour also a stripping
eductor of 400 cm / hour .
2. My vessel is providing 3 manifolds of 16 inches and various reducers to
which a cocorresponding number of hoses can be connected .
3. The back pressure , as per C/P , is to be kept at ships rails at a maximum
of 8 Kg/sq cm throughout the entire operation and relative back pressure
report will be compiled in this respect .
4. Kindly note that this vessel is a double hull one and she is able to
performe simultaneous discharging and ballasting operations .
From your side , kindly , let us have , in writting , the following information :
1. Any restrictions or request , related to pumping rate or the maximum
permissible back pressure at ships manifolds.
2. Number and size of hoses and same of lines to be provided .
3. Number of shore tanks into which cargo will be pumped .
4. Distance of tanks from vessels manifolds.
5. Height of tanks above sea level .
6. Whether a booster pump is to be used throughout discharging , or at a
certain stage of same .
7. Any other information ( apart from ship-shore safety list ) concerning the
safety and the environment protection .
