Genesis 1:1 2:4

God creates vegetation, sea,
and animals before creating
man. have dominion over the
fish of the sea and over the
birds of the air and over every
living thing that moves upon
the earth. Males and females
created at the same time.
God talks about ideas before
implementing action. Then
God said, Let us make
humankind in our image,
according to our likeness.
God referred to as God.
For the purpose of populating
and creating a world we know
today. Be fruitful and
multiply, and fill the earth and
subdue it.
Mankind given power over all
other species. let them have
dominion over the fish of the
sea, and over the birds of the
air, and over the cattle, and
over all the wild animals of
the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creeps
upon the earth.

Genesis 2:4 25
God creates man first, then the
rivers, then the Garden of
Eden, then the animals, and
finally woman. This at last is
bone of my bones and flesh of
my flesh; this one shall be
called Woman.
God does not talk about ideas,
and manifests them through
action only. the Lord God
formed man from the dust of
the ground, and breathed into
his nostrils the breath of life
God referred to as Lord
God.
For the purpose of
companionship and support.
It is not good that the man
should be alone; I will make
him a helper as his partner.
Man given power over
woman. this one shall be
called Woman, for out of
Man this one was taken.
Simply the naming of woman,
belonging to man, shows that
man has power.

Two things that I learned about God after completing this exercise are that everything He
created had a purpose, and that He had a visualization of what He wanted to see in the world
before implementing action.
My understanding of Original Sin is that the Lord gave Adam freedom, but with some
limitations in order to test temptation. By telling him that some things were forbidden, He was

fulfilling the first rules, and what is we know today as the Law. And the Lord God commanded
the man, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; but of the tree of the knowledge of good
and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall die. We are meant to follow
rules in order to create a fair and just society, and the Lord was showing us the first ways of
doing so.
